The Grand Advisory Group

The Grand Advisory group which is part of Scotiabank Wealth Management, Scotia Capital and Scotia McCleod asked us to make a promotional video highlighting the exceptional services they offer their customers. We combined static shots with shots filmed on a gimbal in slow motion to create more dynamism. Our client was thrilled!

The Friends for Life Bike Rally

The Friends for Life Bike Rally is an annual 6 day bike ride between Toronto and Montreal organized by PWA. PWA helps people living with HIV and AIDS. They approached Heliopolis Productions in 2019 to film the first day of the ride, mixing interviews with riders and footage from the 100 km journey. Since 2019, Heliopolis has created dozens of videos for PWA.

We believe in creating high-quality documentary, narrative and commercial content, from how-to videos to fiction films. Our work ranges from educational content in healthcare to explainer videos for the construction industry. Some of our fiction work was selected at various festivals.

We are based in Toronto, and film worldwide, both on location or in studio. We are proud to offer our services in English, French, and Spanish.

Julian Liurette

President, Creative & Production Director

With over 20 years of experience directing, filming, editing, writing, storyboarding, creating graphics and composing music, Julian is as comfortable directing car videos for Toyota as he is directing doctors and actors for CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health), Canada’s largest mental health hospital or working with Canada’s top banks such as Scotiabank.

Born in Reims, France, Julian grew up in Paris. He graduated from La Sorbonne in Geography and from Concordia University in Montreal in Film Production. His passion for the moving image and for all related technologies have benefited Rogers Communication and The Globe and Mail’s where he helped push for more video productions. He received an Emmy Award nomination.

Alexander Peretz

Partner, Editing, Animation & Presentation Director

Alexander has edited and created graphics for over 20 years. He graduated from the Université de Montréal in Communications. He has created videos for Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Rogers Communications and is occasionally seen on film sets as an audio engineer.

He is Venezuelan and Canadian.
